Vollink Trucking: An Iowa Legacy on the Road

For the Vollink family, farming has evolved in ways they never imagined. As their business grew, so did the need for reliable equipment.  When looking for the best trailer manufacturer they selected Timpte, who leads the way for innovation.

In Iowa, farming and trucking go hand in hand; for the Vollink family, they have created a true legacy. On their fourth-generation farm, Brian Vollink and his brother carry on the tradition started by their grandfather back in 1950. Over the years, their family has seen both the challenges and rewards of farming, and their story reflects the spirit of dedication shared by Iowa’s agricultural community.

“My grandpa moved to this farm in 1950 and began farming. My dad, myself, and my brother grew up on this farm. It’s all I’ve ever known,” Brian shared. The Vollink family has grown their operation over the years, currently farming around 3,000 acres. Brian’s son, Ryan, is stepping in and taking on a larger role, eager to carry forward the family’s hard-earned tradition. Though he’s just starting, Ryan’s passion and enthusiasm are undeniable.

“Ryan’s been around the farm his whole life, and now he’s getting involved in the trucking side. It’s exciting to watch him step up and see where he’ll take things,” Brian shared with pride. As Ryan begins to put his stamp on the business, the Vollink family’s future is bright.

Timpte trailers have become essential to their farming and trucking operations. “The triple axle trailer allows us to haul more, and every trip means more money in our pocket, and the technology investments by Timpte, like the EZ Flow system, has made our work so much easier,” Brian says. “It’s amazing to see how they evolve with the times.”

Timpte has been helping families like the Vollinks’ get their harvests where they need to go since 1884. As Iowa’s #1 grain trailer manufacturer, Timpte is a trusted name on the road. “The road signs Iowans see most,” as they say, is the iconic Timpte black and orange emblem. Whether it’s corn or soybeans, Iowa’s farmers put their heart and soul into hard work every day, and Timpte is proud to support them, delivering reliable trailers built for efficiency.

As Timpte celebrates 140 years, we thank Iowa’s haulers and farmers for trusting us to be a part of their journey.

To Brian, and his family we say Thank You—for all you put in.
